A current GO2bank accountholder (“Referrer”) may refer a friend (“Referred Friend”) to open a GO2bank deposit account (“Account”) by sharing a unique referral link (“Link”) with a Referred Friend using one of the on-screen methods permitted, and the Referrer and Referred Friend may each be eligible to receive a reward (“Reward”) for a limited time according to these terms and conditions (“Offer”). This Offer is made by GO2bank, P.O. Box 1070, West Chester, OH 45071.

  1. Eligibility and Payment. In order for both the referred individual and the referring GO2bank accountholder to each qualify for and receive the referral reward, the following conditions must be met: The referred individual may not have previously opened a GO2bank Deposit Account ("Account"); they must open a new Account between October 1, 2023 and May 1, 2024; they must open the new account using the referring GO2bank accountholder's unique referral (share) link directly or as shared through email or social post; and they must receive in the new Account a qualifying direct deposit of $200 or more within 45 days of account opening. The qualifying direct deposit must be made by the referred individual's employer, payroll provider, government benefits, or unemployment benefits payor by Automated Clearing House (ACH) deposit. Bank ACH transfers, debit card transfers, verification or trial deposits from financial institutions, tax refund deposits, mobile check cashing, and cash deposits are not qualifying deposit activities. Referring GO2bank accountholder and referred individual GO2bank accounts must both be in good standing to be eligible for and receive a reward. The reward is paid to each party within 48 hours after qualifying funds are first deposited into the referred individual's new Account. New and referring GO2bank accountholders may earn no more than $1,500 in referral rewards across all Refer a friend campaigns per calendar year (January 1 - December 31). Referred individual acknowledges that payment of the reward will result in the referring GO2bank accountholder's knowledge of the individual's new Account. GO2bank reserves the right to cancel or modify the terms of the referral reward offer or terminate the member's eligibility at any time with or without prior notice. All referral rewards will be reported on form 1099 to the IRS.

    2. A “Qualifying Direct Deposit” is a direct deposit of payroll or government benefits (including unemployment benefits and child support) and does not include, for example, debit card transfers, tax refund deposits, mobile check cashing deposits or cash deposits.

    A Reward will generally be credited to the Referrer’s Account and to the Referred Friend’s Account within 48 hours of a Qualifying Direct Deposit to the Referred Friend’s Account, but may take longer in some circumstances if, for example, Green Dot is investigating any indicia of fraud or a violation of these terms and conditions.

  2. Restrictions. No participant can earn more than $1,500 in Rewards in a calendar year in the role of Referrer or Referred Friend. The Referrer cannot also be the Referred Friend by creating multiple or fictitious Accounts. The Link must be distributed in a personal manner to Referrer’s friends, colleagues, family members and general network utilizing the on-screen sharing methods permitted by the Offer. The dissemination of the Link using bulk email distribution, by posting on forums or chat rooms, or utilizing bots or other similar technology (e.g., script, macro, etc.) to earn Rewards is strictly prohibited.
  3. General Conditions. The Offer may be suspended, modified or withdrawn without prior notice for any reason in Green Dot’s sole discretion. You are deemed to be aware of and bound by any modifications to the Offer and these terms and conditions by your continued participation in the Offer. Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, garbled, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, or undelivered emails, Account sign-ups, referrals, Rewards or the tabulation of Rewards; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Offer, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Offer, the processing of emails, Account sign-ups, referrals or Rewards, or in any Offer-related materials. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants’ or to any other person’s computer or printer related to or resulting from participating in this Offer or downloading materials from or use of the GO2bank website or mobile application. Should any portion of the Offer be, in Green Dot’s sole opinion, compromised by bugs, virus, worms, non-authorized human intervention or other causes, which, in the sole opinion of Green Dot, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or submission of information, Green Dot reserves the right at its sole discretion to terminate the Offer. Green Dot may monitor any communications by participants pertaining to the Offer and may block any email messages or remove any such content it deems in violation of these terms and conditions. Green Dot may, in its sole discretion, disqualify anyone from participating in the Offer that it believes has a) engaged in fraudulent activity, b) otherwise acted in a manner inconsistent with these terms and conditions, or c) violated the law. By participating, Referrer and Referred Friend agree: (i) to be bound by these terms and conditions and the decisions of Green Dot, which are final and binding, and (ii) to release and hold harmless Green Dot, its subsidiaries, affiliates, retailers, and advertising and promotion agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) against any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Offer or acceptance and use of any Rewards. The Referred Friend acknowledges that if he or she participates in the Offer and earns a Reward, Referrer may be aware that the Referred Friend opened an Account and made a Qualifying Direct Deposit, and consents to disclosure of such information to the Referrer. Green Dot cannot provide information about someone else’s Account or status. The personal information obtained by Green Dot in conjunction with the Offer will be collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the GO2bank Privacy Policy.  Rewards of $600 or more will be reported on tax form 1099-MISC and the Referrer and Referred Friend are each responsible for all associated federal, state and local taxes that may apply to a Reward. This Offer is not combinable with any other offer, is non-transferable, and is void where prohibited by law. Banking services are provided by GO2bank, Member FDIC.
  4. Additional Terms. These terms and conditions incorporate and supplement the GO2bank Deposit Account Agreement that governs all use of your Account. For example, the GO2bank Deposit Account Agreement contains an “Arbitration Notice” provision that requires all disputes to be resolved by way of binding arbitration. That provision applies to any disputes arising from the Offer and these terms and conditions. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any provision of the GO2bank Deposit Account Agreement, these terms and conditions will control only with respect to the Offer, and only to the extent necessary to resolve the inconsistency.
